Our senior caregivers are screened, bonded, insured, trained and monitored.
As important, we hire people who have a passion for caring for others and the social skills to provide a positive social experience for our clients. We do not hire anyone we would not trust to care for our own parents.
The typical caregiver is a mature woman who has personal or professional experience with senior care. We also have male caregivers who fit the same profile. They live all over Monroe County. We offer them part time work close to their homes and flexible hours, which helps us attract high quality caregivers.
All caregivers must take a pre-employment personality profile, even before we agree to interview them, to help us assess their attitudes and styles around home care. They must provide at least 4 references. They must pass a national and local criminal background check that includes criminal records, sexual abuse registries and motor vehicle records, among other things. They must do well in a pre-employment orientation training session prior to being hired.
Currently, we have over 100 caregivers in our employ.
